As I have been studying and preparing for the Bible study meeting tonight, I am overwhelmed at how God is moving in my life. The past several days have been an extreme roller coaster for my family. It's those times in our lives when our spiritual light is shining the brightest that we are faced with some of the hardest struggles. I think when we have our hearts really focused on God, the devil just goes into panic mode. That's when things start popping up in front of us, whether it's new temptations or new trials. We have two options during these times. We can either allow these times to cause us to doubt our faith and draw us into the wrong spiritual direction, or we can choose to draw even closer to our Heavenly Father. Rely on Him. Wait on Him. Hope in Him. I'm not saying it's easy. I'm not even saying that it will be our first instinct. I'm a problem solver and it's so easy for me to jump into "fix it" mode all on my own. That's when I have to take a step back and remember that God doesn't want me to do this on my own. He is with us and He has a plan for us. We just have to call on His Holy name and trust in His promises. I know that my last post dealt with this same topic, but this is really prominent in my life right now. I am learning a whole new meaning to the word Hope: a strong and confident expectation that God is real, present, and working for my good, even when my life spins out of control. My prayer today is that if any of you are being faced with an uncertain future, you would place your trust in Christ, for He alone can give us true peace. In this moment I choose Hope. I choose Peace. I choose Joy. I pray you will too. Now, as I attempt to clothe my silly toddler, who thinks she must be in her birthday suit to use her potty, I will not worry about tomorrow. I will look at her precious face and join in her carefree spirit. I will rejoice with my older kids as they defeat the Omnidroids in their Incredibles game. I will be thankful for these moments. I will focus on these moments. I will place tomorrow exactly where it should be, in the hands of the Almighty God. Maybe you will do the same. God Bless!

God is good and He is in control. HE can ad will use these things to draw us closer to Him. I thank God for what He has in store and am just excited to see Him as He reveals it to us all. HOPE, FAITH, LOVE we may not be able to touch it but it is the strongest trust a person can have. Trust in our Lord and Savior.

Brandi, It is so uplifting to hear from the heart of someone who faces the normal everyday events of life, with all the temptations, trials, twists, and turns, and sees the wonders and glory of God and knows the Savior truly loves us just as we are and where we are today. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your faith. Look forward to more.

AuthorI am a pretty traditional woman living in a very modern world. My husband and I live in south Alabama. W'e are working on our eleventh year of marriage, have four wonderful children, two crazy dogs, and one sassy cat. God is the center of our lives and we strive everyday to grow in His love and wisdom. I rarely get this momma/wife thing right, but I live everyday as well as I can and love with everything I have. My prayer is that someday, something I have to say, will touch someone's heart and draw them closer to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Blogging is a new venture for me so.... Here goes! Archives
