As I sit here in my husbands recliner, bunny in my lap, trying to figure out what to write about today, I can't help but laugh at myself. Starting a blog is something I have wanted to do for a long time now. Still this morning I woke up feeling vulnerable. Feeling like I shouldn't be sharing. Like I didn't have something worth saying. Like I shouldn't be doing this. As my children are shrieking and throwing themselves against the walls and doors because they are pretending we are caught in a really bad storm and my dogs are barking like crazy, still all I can do is laugh. My life is chaotic. It's messy. It's loud. It's splendid. It's MINE! No two days are ever the same. My kids always have a different story to tell. A different game to play. A different adventure to take me on. I can't believe how blessed I am. I have dishes in the sink that need to be washed. There is a basket of clothes siting here beside me waiting to be folded and put away. My toddler has poured her snack bowl out in the floor. My kids have unfolded every blanket I own and they are tossing them around the room in this fiery tornado that has overtaken our home. And I'm laughing. Uncontrollably laughing. Not the anxious laughter that comes when you feel overwhelmed by the tasks that overrun your day. This is laughter that comes from immeasurable joy. My cup is truly overflowing. So instead of fretting about finding something worthy to write, I am going to get down in the floor and join in this ruckus. Before long school will be back in session. We won't get this time back. So make the most of what is left of this summer. Join in the fun with your little ones. Be chaotic. Be messy. Be loud. I know I am. Happy Thursday y'all! Make it a great one!

I love your laugh. Best laugh in the church, in my opinion. It's a highlight of the sermon when I can get you to do that awesome laugh!

AuthorI am a pretty traditional woman living in a very modern world. My husband and I live in south Alabama. W'e are working on our eleventh year of marriage, have four wonderful children, two crazy dogs, and one sassy cat. God is the center of our lives and we strive everyday to grow in His love and wisdom. I rarely get this momma/wife thing right, but I live everyday as well as I can and love with everything I have. My prayer is that someday, something I have to say, will touch someone's heart and draw them closer to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Blogging is a new venture for me so.... Here goes! Archives
